SVAA has exhibit at Heckart Community Center

Sedalia Parks & Recreation hosted a reception Thursday evening, Aug. 22, for the new Sedalia Visual Art Association exhibit. Nine members of SVAA will have work hanging in the show through the end of September at the Heckart Community Center. The show includes these artists: Bryan Batsell, Ward Behle, Janice Hargrave, Linda Hoover, Linda Jo Huber, Glenda Miller, Julie Joy Sieving, Pamala Wilkins, and Marlis Wise. 

SFCC Daum Museum to Host Vendor Marketplace

The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art invites the community to its first-ever vendor marketplace from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, at the museum on the State Fair Community College campus. The event will coincide with back-to-school activities. Vendors will include local makers, small businesses and food trucks.

A wide variety of products will be offered, including ceramics, original artwork, woodworking, pastries and sweets, jewelry, fired glassware, tropical houseplants, caricatures, metal sculptures, photography, and more. Dove Donuts and David’s Original Cheesesteak Co. will also be on-site.
