Gary Beckman, Kiwanis president, announced Kiwanis of Sedalia will host the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 1, at the Celebration Center.
Human and spiritual recognition awards will be presented to youth who have been nominated for demonstrating Christian values, showing leadership and participating in community service. Also, scholarships will be presented, including the William A. Schien Scholarship.
Mayor John Kehde will assist in presenting the awards. Speaker for the event is Dr. Teresa Gatton, who has been with Katy Trail Community Health for seven years and has recently opened a new business in Sedalia called the Art Room.
