Mask policy changed for Bothwell

Posted

During the week of Sept. 19-25, there were 76 new cases of COVID-19 reported to the Pettis County Health Center. Last week there were 113.

There are two people hospitalized as compared to six last week. The age range is 20-54.

Effective Sept. 22, masks are encouraged but not required for patients and visitors in Bothwell Regional Health Center and clinics.

People will be asked to wear a mask if they know they have COVID-19, influenza or another respiratory illness, have symptoms like fever or coughing or are in a facility for treatment or testing for COVID-19, influenza or another respiratory illness.

When visiting patients who are actively ill with COVID-19, influenza or other respiratory illnesses, visitors will be asked to wear additional personal protective equipment, including masks, gowns or eye goggles. Hospital visitors should follow the requirements posted on patient doors.
