Pettis County added 74 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 4,186, according to the Pettis County Health Center. There was not a report Friday due to the Health Center being closed for New Year’s Day.
There are now 494 active cases and 3,641 residents have been released to normal activity. Ten residents are now hospitalized seeking treatment for the virus.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported a seven-day total of 15,170 cases on Friday or an average of 2,167 per day. There were a total of 68 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Missouri during the last seven days, representing an average of 10 deaths per day.
