No numbers restrictions at S-C spring sports events

Posted

One year after the coronavirus pandemic canceled the MSHSAA spring sports campaign, there are no restrictions on attendance numbers at Smith-Cotton spring sports events in 2021.

Face coverings are required at events and re-entry is prohibited at Smith-Cotton athletic contests. Visiting teams must screen its players for COVID-19 symptoms prior to arrival in Sedalia and provide its own water.

Prepackaged items are available at concession stands at Liberty Park Stadium (baseball), Tiger Stadium (track and field, girls soccer) and Susie Ditzfeld Memorial Field (girls soccer).

Spectators seated alone or with members of their household, distanced 6 feet from the next group, may remove their face coverings. Congregating in common areas is prohibited, and face coverings are required when not seated.

Due to limited bleacher seating, spectators at Smith-Cotton boy’s tennis matches at Liberty Park are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to help maintain 6 feet of physical distance.

Smith-Cotton track and field will have assigned seating at Tiger Stadium. S-C student-athletes are assigned to the north bleachers, visiting track teams are assigned to the lower section of the south bleachers and all spectators are assigned to the upper section of the south bleachers.
