The Pettis County Health Center did not issue a local COVID report Thursday. In the COVID-19 update in Thursday’s edition of the Democrat, the death update was inadvertently left out. The Wednesday report included two more deaths, bringing the county’s toll to 70.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported a seven-day total of 9,180 cases on Thursday or an average of 1,311 per day. There were a total of 56 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Missouri during the last seven days, representing an average of eight deaths per day.
