Pettis County Health Center reports 2 more COVID deaths

Pettis County added 54 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 4,527, according to the Pettis County Health Center.

There are now 405 active cases and 4,054 residents have been released to normal activity. Nine residents are now hospitalized seeking treatment for the virus. The Health Center also reported two more COVID-related deaths, bringing the county’s total to 68.

The Health Center posted on its Facebook page Tuesday that pre-registration forms for the next phase of the COVID-19 vaccine group will be made available shortly on its website and Facebook page. Those with questions regarding the process can send an email to pettisvaccine@gmail.com.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported a seven-day total of 19.397 cases on Tuesday or an average of 2,771 per day. There were a total of 61 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Missouri during the last seven days, representing an average of nine deaths per day.
