Pettis County added 34 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 4,702, according to the Pettis County Health Center.
According to the Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force briefing issued Monday, this is an increase of 93 cases in the past week and 229 cases in the past two weeks. The positivity rate for Jan. 11-17 is 13.96% and the case rate per 100,000 is 290.51. This is an improvement from earlier in January.
Preregistration for the COVID-19 vaccine continues as the state is now offering vaccines as available for Phase 1A and Phase 1B Tier 1 and 2. The form is available at pettiscountyhealthcenter.com and brhc.org or at the Health Center, 911 E. 16th St. in Sedalia. The form can be returned to pettisvaccine@gmail.com, faxed to 660-827-1141, mailed to the Health Center or dropped off between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Those who do not have access to email or a paper form may call the Health Center at 660-827-1130 to register.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported a seven-day total of 9,623 cases on Monday or an average of 1,375 per day. There were a total of 51 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Missouri during the last seven days, representing an average of seven deaths per day.
