Bothwell Regional Health Center recently presented a check for $2,907 to Mercy Rest Stop Coalition in support of the effort to raise funds to construct Mercy Rest Stop in Sedalia. The facility will provide the homeless and nearly homeless with 24/7 sanitary restroom facilities, 24/7 water source, showers for personal hygiene, a laundry facility, and cooling and warming stations.
During Hospital Week hosted in May, the Bothwell Employee Engagement Committee organized several activities including a 50/50 raffle benefitting Mercy Rest Stop. Employees raised $907 for the organization through the raffle, and Bothwell Regional Health Center donated $2,000.
In front holding the check are Bill Turner, Mercy Rest Stop Coalition chair; Mary Holloman and Linda Watterson, Bothwell Employee Engagement Committee co-chairs; and Lori Wightman, Bothwell CEO. Other members of the Employee Engagement Committee and Leadership Team are also pictured.
