Arrests

Sept. 21

1:53 p.m.: Ratliff T. Meseky, 18, of the 2400 block of West Main Street, was arrested after being observed backing up to a building in the 2500 block of West Main Street. The occupant inside a blue Toyota with no plates was placed under arrest for driving with a revoked driver's license. The vehicle had been entered as stolen out of Sedalia related to a burglary to a business. The suspect was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of stealing a motor vehicle, second-degree burglary, misdemeanor stealing from a building, and driving with a revoked driver's license.

9:47 p.m.: Amanda Nicole Randall, 30, of the 1200 block of West Fifth Street, was arrested after being observed driving without a front plate near West Broadway Boulevard and South Carr Avenue. The vehicle failed to yield for a traffic stop and continued another 830-feet at a slow rate-of-speed. Randall was found to be intoxicated and was arrested, taken to Pettis County Jail, booked and released to a sober person with state charges of driving while intoxicated-prior offender, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. 

Incidents

Sept. 14

1:16 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to Eagle Stop, 1515 Thompson Blvd., in reference to a theft. Management reported an internal theft and the suspect was later contacted and they admitted to the theft. Charges are being submitted to the Pettis County prosecutor's office for review. 

Sept. 16

3:32 p.m.: An officer responded to a hit-and-run accident that occurred at West 16th Street and South Limit Avenue. The victim stated a white Chevrolet Silverado hit their vehicle and left the scene. A suspect was not identified. 

Sept. 21

6:40 p.m.: A subject brought a phone to the police department that was found in the 600 block of North Missouri Avenue in the area of Hubbard Park. It was placed into evidence as found property. 

7:46 p.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for several lane changes and moving violations near West 16th Street and Water Tower Road. The operator of the vehicle displaying new dealer license plates that expired in 2021 was issued citations for failing to register the vehicle and improper lane use. The dealer plates were seized and placed into evidence.

9:45 p.m.: Officers came across an abandoned air compressor in the road near West Fourth Street and South Park Avenue. The air compressor is being held at the Sedalia Police Department for safekeeping.

Arrests

Sept. 22

1:45 a.m.: Sujith Eluri, 26, of Morgan Hill, California, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, speeding, and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
