This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 5

1:57 p.m.: Nicholas Michael Plecnik, 30, of Long Beach, California, was arrested after a traffic stop near the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard. The driver did not have a valid driver's license and was arrested for this offense. A search of his person found fentanyl, methamphetamine and Alprazolam. Plecnik was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of second-degree drug trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and no driver's license.

3:41 p.m.: Joe Sampson Jr., of Sedalia, was arrested after police responded to the 600 block of South Lafayette Avenue for a report of trespassing. Contact was made with Sampson, who was arrested for trespassing, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges.

April 8

5:59 p.m.: Juan Melendez Ayalo, 39, of the 1000 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested after a traffic stop at West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue for an improper turn. Ayalo had a revoked driving status and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released with a charge of driving with a revoked driver's license.

April 9

3:19 a.m.: Alfredo Carlos, 25, of the 1500 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested after officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance. The victim had a serious physical injury to her head and was treated by the Pettis County Ambulance District and transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for further treatment. Carlos was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of second-degree domestic assault.

April 6

8:31 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of South Stewart Avenue regarding a disturbance. The male subject was later identified and contacted. Charges of disturbance of the piece were submitted, but no arrest was made.

8:42 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 100 block of East 16th Street for a report of stealing. An employee said a white male in his 20s stole $15 worth of items and left in a light blue Audi. The suspect has not been located.

April 7

10:15 a.m.: A victim came to the police station lobby to report she provided a ride home to two subjects she met in a bar and after she dropped them off, she noticed her purse was missing from inside her car. The victim said the purse contained her cell phone, debit cards, and $300 cash. The victim was able to provide the names of the suspects.

11:03 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the Sedalia Housing Authority office, 500 Welch Court, for a report of property damage. The caller stated someone damaged a large pane of glass at the Housing Authority bus stop, estimated to be worth $300.

11:37 a.m.: An officer responded to a business in the 1200 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to property damage. Management showed the officer a room that had been ransacked and destroyed. The renter's name and information were provided and state charges of property damage are being requested.

2:57 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the police department lobby in reference to a theft report. A victim said that sometime within the last year, several stadium seat arms and lawnmowers were stolen from a rental house in the 1600 block of South Park Avenue.

11:37 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 2400 block of Greenwood Lane in reference to harassment. The caller said a woman known to him had called him and his mother more than 60 times in less than an hour. A request for a charge of harassment has been submitted to the prosecutor.

April 8

11:58 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Fifth Street in reference to a vehicle theft. The reporting party believed a person known to her stole her vehicle, which was involved in a four-car collision at West Broadway Boulevard and Industrial Road.

1:34 p.m.: The Pettis County Ambulance District and the Sedalia Fire Department were dispatched to the 1800 block of South Warren Avenue in reference to a drug overdose. The victim was unable to be saved after over 30 minutes of life-saving measures were provided.

3:19 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1400 block of South Moniteau Avenue in reference to a theft. An Amazon package was stolen off the front porch of a residence.

April 9

10:48 a.m.: Ramon M. Jamerson, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers were dispatched to the 500 block of State Fair Boulevard in reference to a disturbance involving a gun. The caller said a known male subject was trying to get into the apartment of a known female subject while waving a gun around. Officers disarmed Jamerson, who then resisted arrest. He was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center and held for mental treatment. Jamerson was arrested for domestic assault, fourth-degree resisting arrest, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Arrests

April 9

10:04 p.m.: Candice McIntosh, 43, of Versailles, was arrested after deputies attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and Highway M for multiple equipment violations. McIntosh continued to drive with deputies following with emergency lights activated. Eventually, she stopped at Seventh Street and Madison Avenue. McIntosh was operating the vehicle without a driver's license. An inventory of the vehicle was conducted prior to it being towed. Multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia were located. McIntosh was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of driving without a driver's license, felony resisting arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger, 43-year-old Phillip Keller, of Blue Springs, was released from the scene. Charges of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia are being sought through the prosecutor for Keller.

Incidents

April 7

Midnight: Deputies took a report for identity theft in the 24000 block of Flint Road. There were no leads or suspects at the time of the report.

Arrests

April 8

12:38 a.m.: Gordell E. Poindexter, 32, of Liberty, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, a lane violation, and no rearview mirror. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

2:15 a.m.: Andrew W. Anderson, 21, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, no insurance, and a lane violation. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

6:48 p.m.: Myrita R. Abbott, 48, of Eldon, was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated - alcohol. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail and placed on a 12-hour hold.

9:10 p.m.: William M. Mowell, 62, of Edwards, was arrested in Henry County for felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, no tail lights, and no insurance. He was transported to the Henry County Jail and released.

April 9

2:50 p.m.: Brittan L. Calfee, 33, of Gardener, Kansas, was arrested in Johnson County for speeding, a lane violation, a signal violation, and felony resisting arrest. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
