Arrests

April 19

10:37 p.m.: Amber Dawn Brandes, 25, of the 4200 block of Main Street, was arrested after officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of East 10th Street and South Marvin Avenue for improper vehicle registration. An odor of marijuana was detected and a search was conducted. The search revealed a female occupant illegally possessing hydrocodone. She was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail possession of a controlled substance.

April 20

12:51 a.m.: James Lewis Wallace, 29, was arrested after officers conducted a vehicle check in the parking lot of 3050 South Limit Avenue. A search of the vehicle was conducted and methamphetamine and other items indicative of drug sales were located. The driver was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance. Two firearms were also located in the vehicle belonging to the passenger who admitted to being a habitual drug user. The firearms were seized and a state charge of unlawful possession of a firearm is being requested.

Incidents

April 14

10:34 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the SPD lobby in reference to a theft report. The victim said a suspect had opened a credit card in his name without his permission.

April 19

2:45 p.m.: An officer responded to the 1600 block of South Engineer Avenue in reference to a hit-and-run accident. The victim stated his vehicle was struck while parked in front of the residence on Engineer Avenue. The striking vehicle left without providing information. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified. 

3:14 p.m.: An officer responded to a business in the 4200 block of Wisconsin Avenue in reference to a hit-and-run. Upon arrival, the victim stated he was rear-ended on Broadway Boulevard near Thompson Boulevard. The striking vehicle left without providing information. The suspect’s vehicle was identified and the case remains under investigation.

8:48 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of East 10th Street regarding a burglary no longer in progress. Items stolen from the residence were valued at $1,184.
