This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests
Aug. 19
7:57 a.m.: Eric Daniel Luetjen, 22, from the 42000 block of Oak Grove Lane, was arrested after a traffic stop near West 16th Street and McDonald's Avenue for expired registration. The driver's license status was also suspended out of Missouri. He was arrested and searched, finding a  marijuana pipe which was seized for destruction. The driver was transported to the police department and released with a city ticket for driving with a suspended driver's license.
11:21 a.m.: Jordan S. Mosley, 20, of the 400 block of South New York Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop near West Broadway Boulevard and Winchester Avenue for expired registration and a defective brake light. The driver’s license status was revoked out of Missouri and he was arrested, taken to the police department, and issued a city ticket for driving with a revoked driver's license.
Incidents
Aug. 13
5:03 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 2100 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a disturbance. The caller said her boyfriend had waved a knife at her and tried to stab her. The suspect was not located and no arrest has been made. 
Aug. 19
12:40 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to East 13th Street and South Ingram Avenue for a report of a stabbing. The victim was located and transported to Bothwell Regional Medical Center. The suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing. 
12:37 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of South Missouri Avenue  In reference to a theft report. The victim said her bicycle was stolen from the 600 block of West 15th Street. The victim said the bicycle had a value of approximately $300.
7:37 p.m.: Officers took a report in the police department lobby of an ongoing theft from Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. The investigation continues.
Aug. 20
12:35 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East 16th Street and South Ingram Avenue. Contraband was found in the car which was seized to be destroyed. The suspects were released from the scene.
3:44 a.m.: Officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of South Park Avenue and West Third Street for speeding and failing to stop at a stop sign. The suspect vehicle did not stop for officers and fled. The incident is still under investigation.

Arrests
Aug. 19
6:46 p.m.: Julinda I. Hicks, of La Monte, was arrested for third-degree domestic assault after Pettis County deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of North Oak Street, in La Monte in reference to an assault complaint.
Aug. 15
9 p.m.: Deputies responded to the Temp Stop, 4575 South Limit Avenue, In reference to property damage. The investigation is ongoing.
