This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
7:22 p.m.: Robert Maurice Williams, 41, of the 1000 block of East 11th Street, was arrested after officers responded in reference to a domestic disturbance. All parties were identified and a primary aggressor was determined. Williams was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges of second-degree domestic assault.
3:12 a.m.: Clayton Alfrey, 20, of Marshall, was arrested after officers conducted a subject check at Bothwell Regional Health Center. Alfrey refused to leave after being asked multiple times and was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold for first-degree trespassing.
3:55 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the lobby of the police department in reference to a theft report. The driver of an OATS bus reported a rider took the payment bag from the bus.
5:30 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of South Washington Avenue in reference to a 911 call of someone having been shot. Investigation on scene quickly revealed no one had been shot but the caller was suffering from various forms of mental illness and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for a mental evaluation.
9:06 a.m.: Officers responded to the 3000 block of Skyline Drive regarding property damage. The reporting party stated someone put water in their fuel tank. The incident is under investigation.
10:09 a.m.: An officer responded to the 1000 block of South State Fair Boulevard for a fraud report. The victim reported a man known to her stole and used her credit card. She reported that he disseminated explicit photographs to her family members without her consent. A report was completed.
12:01 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a fraud report at a business in the 3600 block of West Broadway Boulevard. An employee was fraudulently refunding rooms to steal the cash. Charges of stealing and misuse of a credit/debit device were recommended to the state prosecutor.
11:38 p.m.: Officers took a delayed report over the phone regarding a domestic violence disturbance in the 2300 block of West Second Street Terrace. A report was taken to document the incident.
4:22 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived. The complaint did not wish to pursue charges but requested the subject be trespassed.
10:01 a.m.: A female called the police department to report an assault. A report was completed.
8:26 p.m.: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in progress in the 100 block of Winchester Drive. Investigation showed a female, who is known to the caller, had assaulted the caller and their companion. The female left the scene prior to officers' arrival. Charges will be submitted to the prosecutor for third-degree assault and harassment.
8:51 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1000 block of South Harrison Avenue in reference to gunshots. Investigation showed a subject was assaulted and injured by the use of a weapon. Suspects have been named, but no contact has been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
1:19 a.m.: Aaron Blondell, of Sedalia, was arrested after deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Fourth Street and Moniteau Avenue on a vehicle whose driver did not have a valid license. Blondell was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released for operating a motor vehicle without a license - third or subsequent offense.
11:24 a.m.: Deputies responded to the area of Highway E and Cottage School Road for a report of two young girls walking on the side of the road. Deputies were searching for the girls when they received a call that they had been picked up by a Good Samaritan and dropped off at school. An investigation is being done to determine the events.
201 p.m.: A man came to the sheriff's office to report harassment by a male relative over the past several weeks. The incident is under investigation.
8:48 p.m.: Kelly A. Haake, 35, of Olathe, Kansas, was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail.
10:12 a.m.: Mary A. Hicks, 44, of Columbia, was arrested in Saline County for felony possession of a controlled substance - methylenedioxy-methamphetamine and unlawful use of a firearm. She was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.
10:12 a.m.: Alfredo D. Hicks, 44, of Columbia, was arrested in Saline County for felony possession of a controlled substance - methylenedioxy-methamphetamine and no valid driver's license. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.
5:42 p.m.: Aaron K. Napil, 22, of Wiggins, Colorado, was arrested in Saline County for felony possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.
12:45 a.m.: Brandon R. McCoy, 22, of Grain Valley, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
4:38 a.m.: Austin N. Schulte, 23, of Barnett, was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated - first offense and failure to place vehicle not in motion as far right as practical. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail and released.
