This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Nov. 26

12:35 a.m.: Nicholas Christopher Anders, 19, of the 1000 block of Edgewood Drive, was arrested near the intersection of West 24th Street and South Grand Avenue for driving while intoxicated. A traffic stop was conducted for a traffic violation. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated.

Nov. 27

10:59 a.m.: Antonio Murphy, 33, of the 700 block of West Third Street, was arrested at his residence for two counts of first-degree sexual misconduct. The suspect was questioned about exposing himself to female subjects at two businesses in Sedalia in the last week. He was arrested again at 10:15 a.m. Nov. 28 at his residence for one count of first-degree sexual misconduct.

7:21 p.m.: David S. Cavazos, 23, of the 700 block of East 17th Street, was arrested near the intersection of East 16th Street and South Lafayette Avenue for driving with a revoked license and driving while intoxicated. A traffic stop had been conducted for a vehicle that failed to keep right.

9:11 p.m.: Christopher L. Baker, 18, of Cole Camp, was issued a municipal court summons in the 3200 block of West 16th Street for possession of marijuana. A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle without a front license plate. An investigation revealed the driver was in possession of marijuana.

9:32 p.m.: Haley Faith Evans, 18, of Sedalia, and Tristan R. Berry, 20, of Green Ridge, were issued a municipal court summons near the intersection of West Fifth Street and South Kentucky Avenue for possession of marijuana. Officers conducted a traffic stop and marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle. A juvenile suspect was released to his parents.

Nov. 28

4:42 a.m.: Marri S. Buckner, 23, of the 1100 block of South Harding Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of East 17th Street and South Engineer Avenue for driving while intoxicated. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle failing to maintain its lane several times on Broadway Boulevard and failure to maintain the right half of the road on Engineer. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was impaired by drugs. Drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle.

3:05 p.m.: Carl Gregory Fox, 62, of the 300 block of West Seventh Street, was arrested near the intersection of South State Fair Boulevard and West 10th Street for driving with a revoked license and no proof of insurance.

Nov. 29

12:31 a.m.: Ryan Cameron Cole, 28, of Independence, was arrested in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard for driving with a revoked license, driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana. An officer responded to a business for a report of a driver passed out behind the wheel. Contact was made with the driver, who had an open container of alcohol and a jar of marijuana in plain view.

1:55 p.m.: Jeremiah Jones, 40, of Mora, was arrested near the intersection of East 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue for possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence. A traffic stop was conducted. The passenger exited the vehicle and ran into a nearby business wearing a yellow jacket but exited the bathroom without the jacket. Officers conducted a search of the bathroom and found the jacket containing drug paraphernalia. The vehicle was searched and nothing was found.

4:30 p.m.: Tristen T. Williams, 20, of the 200 block of South Engineer Avenue, was arrested in the 300 block of South Engineer Avenue for third-degree domestic assault. An officer was dispatched to the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Montgomery Avenue for an assault that had just taken place. The officer made contact with the victim near South Brown Avenue and East Seventh Street. The victim said the suspect is known to them and had pushed them on the ground. While the victim did not have any observable injuries, the Pettis County Ambulance District determined they had dangerously high blood pressure. A witness also provided a statement. The suspect was located and arrested.

6:49 p.m.: Nicole Michelle Williams, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested in the 800 block of West Sixth Street for resisting arrest, identity theft, and two Pettis County misdemeanor warrants. Officers responded to a report of someone squatting and trespassing on the property. Officers spoke to the person, who provided a false identity. Once her real name was discovered, she was found to have two warrants. She attempted to run from officers but was quickly apprehended. She then fought officers and a WRAP restraint device was used.

Arrests

Nov. 28

9:44 p.m.: Jason K. Hedrick was arrested in the 100 block of Villa in Sedalia for domestic assault, resisting arrest and assault on law enforcement. Deputies and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a 911 hang up. During the investigation, deputies located a disturbance. The suspect barricaded himself in an apartment. A trooper was able to tase the subject, later identified as Hedrick.
