Arrests

Dec. 10

1:49 a.m.: An officer observed a vehicle westbound on East Broadway Boulevard with a headlight and brake light out as well as no working license plate lights. The vehicle was stopped on East Broadway Boulevard at South Engineer Avenue. During a consent search of the driver, it was revealed he was in possession of a controlled substance and a search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia. Charles D. Duncan, 40, of Ibernia, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:30 a.m.: An officer performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper license plates in the area of South Engineer Avenue and East Fourth Street. The driver provided a false identity and his correct one was soon discovered. The driver was found to have three warrants and a forged expiration sticker. The driver also did not have a license. Jordan D. Wehmeyer, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested for the warrants, forgery, identity theft and operating a vehicle without a license.

Incidents

Dec. 9

6:46 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of South Vermont Avenue for a pet theft. The owner stated they let their dog outside around 5 p.m. and noticed he was gone 45 minutes later. The dog’s name is Vandal and he is a blue nose pitbull, gray and white in color and around 85 pounds. He was last seen with a nylon collar with a black “Pet Safe” fence shocker.

11:27 p.m.: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 2000 block of East Seventh Street. The complainant stated their vehicle was stolen from their driveway around 11:27 p.m. and they witnessed the vehicle leaving the driveway and heading north. The stolen vehicle is a 2003 gray Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD estimated at around $8,500.
