This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Nov. 28

4:41 p.m.: Joshua Bohannon, 37, of Osceola, and Alexandra J. Bohannon were issued summonses after officers were sent to the 300 block of Chestnut Drive in reference to an animal complaint. It was determined that two dogs had gotten out of the house and began chasing two subjects who were walking their dog in the area. No one was injured. The Bohannons were charged with animals running at large and dogs chasing, barking, and annoying others.

Dec. 1

8:24 a.m.: A victim reported her purse was stolen from her vehicle that was parked in the 2200 block of West Fifth Street.

3:21 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of West 16th Street for a report of theft. The victim stated sometime between Nov. 22 and Dec. 1 someone cut the catalytic converter from his 2008 Honda Element. The estimated damage is $700. There are no suspects. 

5:45 p.m.: Officers responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center emergency room for a dog bite report. The patient stated he was delivering a package when a dog bit him. Information was collected and a report was completed.

8:36 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of South Osage Avenue for an assault that just occurred. The victim sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital. Suspect information was collected from a witness. 

Pettis County Sheriff's Office

Incidents

Dec. 2

4:16 a.m.: Deputies responded to the 23000 block of Gottschalk Road in Pettis County in reference to a burglary no longer in progress. Multiple large items were stolen but there are no suspects at this time. If you have any information, contact the Pettis County Sheriff's Office or Pettis County Joint Communications.

Dec. 1

9:45 p.m.: Wilfred S. Purchase, 69, of Green Ridge, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
