This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Dec. 3

12:03 p.m.: An officer responded to South Limit Avenue and Tiger Pride Boulevard for a single-vehicle accident with injuries. A truck was located upside down with the driver sitting on the curb. Further investigation revealed two subjects fled from the accident. A witness revealed guns were removed from the vehicle prior to officers’ arrival The guns were located in the area. Hunter A. Fisher, 20, of La Monte, was arrested for unlawful possession/repair of an illegal weapon and defacing manufacturer’s numbers.

12:30 p.m.: Officers responded to the 600 block of North Engineer Avenue for a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived determining a physical assault had occurred. Dakota E. Marek, 17, of North Engineer Avenue, was arrested for fourth-degree domestic assault.

4:56 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Montgomery Avenue in relation to a hit-and-run. The suspect vehicle hit a vehicle shortly before crashing into a tree. The suspects then left on foot. When officers ran the plate of the suspect vehicle, it was found to be stolen. The suspects were located near the intersection of South Summit Avenue and East Sixth Street. Kyle F. Gabauer, 32, of Kansas City, was arrested for first-degree tampering with a vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a revoked license.

Incidents

Dec. 2

3:25 p.m.: An individual came to the police department lobby to report a theft. The individual was contacted through Facebook Messenger by someone and told they owed Amazon $1,200 and requested it be in Visa Vanilla gift cards. The suspects also gained access to the individual’s phone and were likely to access other accounts. They have since been wiped by the individual and all relevant companies have been alerted to the activity.

Incidents

Dec. 3

12:40 p.m.: Deputies responded to the 100 block of Villa Drive where Theresa Waddell was reported missing from the area. She was last seen the evening of Dec. 2. Anyone with information about her is urged to contact the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office at 660-827-0052.

Missouri State Highway Patrol

Dec. 3

9:49 p.m.: Roger G. Sicore, 32, of Edwards, was arrested in Benton County for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

10:18 p.m.: Kenneth G. Lain, 40, of Lee’s Summit, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, failure to drive in the right lane and no insurance.
