This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Dec. 1

3:23 a.m.: Officers observed a vehicle parked in the roadway on East Jefferson Street just east of North Ohio Avenue. Contact was made with the driver who was slumped over the steering wheel. Carrie L. Wilcox, 43, of Windsor, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license.

Dec. 4

8:49 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 24th Street and Clinton Road for a vehicle with expired registration. The driver was found to have a suspended license. Daniel E. Trowbridge, 40, of the 1600 block of Country Club Boulevard, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

Dec. 5

3:15 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Kentucky Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard for a vehicle making an improper turn. The driver was found to have a revoked license. John D. Jones, 59, of the 900 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested for driving with a revoked license.

Dec. 6

2:29 a.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle without a license plate at West Pettis Avenue and North Stewart Avenue. During the stop, the officer detected the odor of marijuana in the vehicle and the odor of intoxicants on the driver’s breath. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver was intoxicated. Jubyris M. Jordan, 25, of the 400 block of Welch Court, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Incidents

Dec. 4

1:53 p.m.: SPD was called in reference to a semi-tractor having struck some power cables and pulling them down. The power and cable wires were pulled and snapped from a pole at Fourth Street and Limit Avenue and from a pole located between Fourth and Fifth streets on Limit Avenue. The semi-tractor was described but had left the scene of the accident. Contact was made with the trucking company on the side of the vehicle.

Dec. 5

3:48 p.m.: An officer took a theft report in the 2500 block of Anderson Avenue. The complainant reported items were stolen from their residence valued at $450.

10:56 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Montgomery Avenue in reference to a reported burglary. The incident was believed to have happened between 2 p.m. and the dispatch time. The front and back door to the residence had damage valued at $300 and an estimated $144 of newly purchased items were stolen.

Dec. 6

4:11 p.m.: An officer responded to a business in the 800 block of Thompson Boulevard for a theft. Management advised a female had come into the store and selected several clothing items. After a short time she ran out of the store and fled in a vehicle.

Nov. 4

11:21 p.m.: Tyler T. Robling, 23, of Pleasant Hill, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and speeding.

Nov. 5

10:08 p.m.: Joel D. Swindell, 39, of Lebanon, was arrested in Benton County for felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nov. 6

1:52 a.m.: Uriah D. Mitts, 18, of Pleasant Hill, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, driving the wrong direction on a divided highway and resisting or interfering with an arrest.
