This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Dec. 6

10:57 a.m.: Alla V. Mischuk, 35, of the 5600 block of South Limit Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop for a driver known to be revoked. A computer check confirmed Mischuk had a revoked driving status, and she was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of driving with a suspended driver’s license.

9:15 p.m.: Alexis Breana Metscher, 21, of Florence, was arrested after a motor vehicle collision near West Sixth Street and South Moniteau Avenue. The driver drove into a dumpster and was determined to be intoxicated. She was arrested, transported to the police department, then to the Pettis County Jail where she was placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold. Municipal charges are being requested for driving while intoxicated, no seat belt, and no proof of insurance.

Incidents

Dec. 6

9:15 a.m.: Officers responded to the 300 block of South Ohio Avenue in reference to a theft from a construction trailer that was broken into over the weekend. Approximately $7,628 worth of tools were taken from the trailer. No suspects have been identified at this time.

9:53 a.m.: Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Third Street in reference to a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was swiftly located and returned to the guardian. A report was sent to the juvenile office.

12:16 p.m.: Officers took a report in the SPD lobby in reference to a possible assault. The victim stated they were assaulted at Bothwell Regional Health Center by staff while they were there for treatment. The suspect has not been identified at this time.

3:30 p.m.: The police department took a property damage report in the 900 block of West Ninth Street. The victim reported that someone she knew broke several items in her apartment.

5:56 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of East 15th Street in reference to the theft of a bicycle valued at around $400. The victim is willing to pursue charges. 

6:15 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Massachusetts Avenue in reference to a 911 hang-up. Upon arrival, officers observed a male bleeding from his face. The man claimed that his roommate assaulted him. Officers spoke to all parties involved and charges will be sent to the prosecutor for review.

11:47 p.m.: An assist agency report was completed by officers and referred to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office in reference to a domestic assault that occurred on Fox Trot Road Dec. 3.
