Arrests

Feb. 22

3:34 p.m.: Brian James Brackett, 57, of the 200 block of East Tower Avenue, was arrested after an officer responded to a domestic assault investigation. Brackett was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of third-degree domestic assault.

7:27 p.m.: Lexxus Elise Mitchell, 27, of the 500 block of North Prospect Avenue, was arrested after an officer responded to a business in the 100 block of Rebar Road for a report of a theft not in progress. Around 5:30 a.m., a female subject was recorded stealing merchandise valued at $20. Mitchell was identified from the video recording, located, arrested, and released with a municipal summons for stealing.

11:02 p.m.: Timothy J. Miller, 30, of Gardner, Kansas, was arrested after an officer responded to the intersection of South Limit Avenue and West Main Street for a vehicle accident. A computer check revealed Miller's license was suspended. He was transported to the Sedalia Police Department and released with a citation.

Incidents

Feb. 19

4 p.m.: Deputies responded to the 200 block of South Walnut Street in La Monte for a report of stealing. According to the victim, an item was allegedly delivered to his doorstep earlier in the week and it was gone when he went to retrieve it. The investigation continues.
