Feb. 2

5:59 p.m.: Sean Sebastian Burke, 49, of Sedalia, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to the area of East Seventh and South New York Avenue. This was a continuation of a prior call. The suspect allegedly forced his way into a home and assaulted one of the residents. The victim ran to a business in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard with the suspect in pursuit. Once inside the store, the subjects yelled at each other, with the suspect accusing the victim of having prostitutes in their basement. Upon officers’ arrival at the store, the suspect was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail. Charges are being requested for first-degree burglary and second-degree assault.

Feb. 2

6:16 a.m.: Pettis County deputies responded to the 22000 block of Chevalier Road for a burglary report at a business in La Monte. During the burglary, several items were taken. At the time of the report, there were no suspects identified. 4:57 p.m.: A deputy responded to the 37000 block of Pleasant View Road in Green Ridge for a report of someone tampering with a diesel fuel tank. The person reporting stated sometime between August 2020 and Jan. 29, 2021, someone put water in a storage tank he used to store his diesel fuel. The reporting person stated he pumped fuel out of the storage tank into his skid steer. He stated after he put the fuel in the skid steer it quit running. The reporting person stated a large amount of water was found in the fuel. The investigation is ongoing.
