Arrests

June 30

4:16 p.m.: Jason J. Harvey, 29, of Cole Camp, was arrested after officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to driving while intoxicated and running a vehicle into a curb. Harvey was booked and released to a sober person from the Pettis County Jail pending charges of driving while suspended and DWI - alcohol - persistent offender.

10:58 p.m.: Alex Pacheco, 25, of Marshall, was arrested after a traffic stop for drifting while traveling below the posted speed limit at Broadway Boulevard and South Barrett Avenue. Police also received a complaint about Pacheco’s driving. He was intoxicated and transported to the Pettis County Jail. A request for a charge of DWI - prior offender was submitted to the prosecutor.

July 3

7:53 p.m.: Sean William Grafe, 43, of Independence, was arrested after a traffic stop at the Missouri State Fairgrounds gate for a speeding vehicle. His driver's license was suspended and Grafe was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released with charges of speeding and DWS.

7:57 p.m.: Jesse Robert Smith, 57, was arrested after an officer responded to South Emmett Avenue and East Sixth Street for a report of an intoxicated individual trying to get into a vehicle. Smith left the scene and was later located near East Harvey Street and North Depp Avenue. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and held for protective custody. No charges are being sought.

10:28 p.m.: Leah Fawn Ferolito, 39, of the 800 block of South 20th Street, was arrested after a traffic stop near South Ohio Avenue and West 18th Street for a vehicle with expired registration. She had a revoked driving status and Ferolito was issued a uniform traffic ticket for driving while revoked.

July 4

8:02 p.m.: Jammie Morgan Newland, 23, of the 3500 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested after being observed driving a vehicle near Seventh Street and Kentucky Avenue. Officers knew the suspect had a revoked driving status and initiated a stop. Newland was uncooperative and was removed from the vehicle. She began pulling away and was taken to the ground and placed into handcuffs. She was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail pending state charges of driving while suspended, third-degree assault - special victim, and felony resisting arrest.

9:09 p.m.: Rodrigo Quetzecua Marcos, 30, of the 1800 block of South Montgomery Avenue, was arrested near Montgomery Avenue and East Broadway Boulevard for driving with a revoked to driving status. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, a request for a charge of DWR was submitted to the prosecutor.

July 5

12:13 a.m.: Melissa Lewis Dorsey, 35, of the 1100 block of East 11th Street, and Marvin Hayne, 58, of Sweet Springs, were arrested after a traffic stop near East 10th Street and South Summit Avenue for not signaling. Dorsey had a revoked driving status and Hayne had a FTA warrant from Sedalia. Both subjects were transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Incidents

July 3

6:03 a.m.: An officer met a victim in the police department lobby from the 200 block of North Washington Avenue who stated sometime overnight someone entered his residence and took approximately $240 worth of quarters. There is a possible suspect in the case but no contact has been made.

6:46 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a hit and run accident. They made contact with the reporting party who said his vehicle was struck in the parking lot. No suspects have been identified.

July 5

12:55 a.m.: An officer responded to the 200 block of Rainbow Drive for a report of burglary and progress. It was determined to not be a burglary but a verbal disturbance. A report was completed to document the incident.

July 3

8:30 a.m.: A complainant in the 19000 block of Arnett Road reported she was the victim of an identity theft. A report was completed.

July 4

5:58 p.m.: Colton R. Gatske, 29, of Osceola, was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was transported to the Henry County Jail and released.
