Arrests

March 12

5:02 p.m.: Gabino Maldonado, 24, was arrested after officers performed a traffic stop near West Main Street and Gentry Avenue. They had identified the driver and ran his identification through dispatch. He had an active warrant for Pettis County and Cooper County and a suspended driver's license. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

9:12 p.m.: Josephine Cordelia Marek, 21, was arrested after officers responded to Walmart in reference to trespassing. Marek had previously been trespassed after stealing from the store. The officer contacted Marek in the parking lot, she was detained and later released with a summons for trespassing.

9:22 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of West Seventh Street for a hit-and-run accident that occurred overnight.

9:48 a.m.: Maxwell J. Payette, 19, of Sedalia was arrested in Pettis County for felony fleeing, unlawful use of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

2:47 p.m.: Coy R. Hicks, 40, of Warrensburg was arrested in Johnson County for felony possession of a controlled substance and driving while intoxicated - drugs. He was transported to the Johnson County Detention Center and released
