Arrests

March 17

9:16 p.m.: Grant Coleman, 40, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to the 400 block of West Cooper Street for a disturbance. The suspect attempted to flee the area on foot and hide in the bushes. When he was located he provided a false identity and was in possession of a bag that belonged to the victim containing her wallet and credit cards. The victim said Coleman had choked her during an argument over her phone, and when he was being walked to the patrol car he repeatedly yelled at her not to talk to the police. He was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of second-degree domestic assault, resisting arrest, tampering with a witness, stealing and identity theft.

March 17

11:46 p.m.: A Sedalia police officer checking his patrol vehicle prior to shift and found a box of personal belongings he did not recognize. the items were stored in safe keeping at the police department as found property.

Arrests

March 15

11:29 p.m. Shannon Albright and Justin Denny were arrested after deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the parking lot in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard for defective equipment. The driver, Albright, was arrested for second-degree trafficking and possession of a controlled substance. Denny was arrested for second-degree trafficking and possession of a controlled suspect substance. They were transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and held for 24 hours pending state charges.

March 17

7: 31 p.m.: Caleb Bush, 22, of Sedalia was arrested after deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle speeding at 80 mph in a 65 mph speed zone. During a search of the vehicle deputies located raw fentanyl, paraphernalia and a loaded firearm. The juvenile passenger was issued a summons for driving without a valid license. Bush was taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of second-degree trafficking, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Incidents

March 15

5:35 p.m.: Deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of North Olive Street in Pettis County for a verbal domestic disturbance. Contact was made with the victim and charges are being sought for fourth-degree domestic assault, first-degree burglary and unlawful use of a weapon. The male suspect was not located.

March 17

10:20 a.m.: A resident in the 22000 block of Hwy 65 reported someone damaged her mailbox.

March 16

5:56 p.m.: Gredy F. Gallardo, 21, of Marshall was arrested in Saline County for driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended and speeding. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.
