Arrests

Dec. 3

6:24 a.m.: Steven Edward Lindsey, 75, of the 300 block of West 36th Street was arrested after police responded to a motor vehicle collision at 24th Street and Kentucky avenue. No one was injured and information was obtained for an accident report. It was determined one of the operators was possibly impaired by alcohol and or drugs and Lindsey was transported to the police department for a blood draw and charged with DWI - drug.

Dec. 5

12:54 p.m.: Saffron R. Hyde, 23, of the 2000 block of East Seventh Street was arrested after officers were dispatched to Broadway Boulevard and State Fair Boulevard for a reported hit-and-run collision. They identified the suspect who was booked and released at the Pettis County Jail with charges of leaving the scene of an accident and driving while suspended.

Dec. 6

6:40 p.m.: Carol Renee Gann, 56, of the 300 block of West 10th Street was arrested after officers responded to a disturbance. They determined a verbal disturbance had occurred in which one subject threatened to assault another subject. The actions taken by the subject at the time of the verbal threat put the victim in fear of being assaulted and Gann was placed under arrest and issued a citation.

Dec. 7

1:58 p.m.: Dakota Allen Gregg, 37, was arrested after officers responded to South Grand Avenue and Clinton Road for a disturbance reported on the Katy trail. They discovered an assault had occurred in the area and Gregg was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of fourth-degree assault and first-degree peace disturbance.

Dec. 3

8:21 p.m.: A Pettis County Sheriff's Office deputy stopped a motor vehicle at Third Street and Engineer Avenue. They requested Sedalia Police Department's K-9 and Rocky alerted them to the odor of drugs. A probable cause search was conducted and items related to illegal drug activity were seized. 

Dec. 5

2:07 p.m.:  A call for assistance came in from the animal control officer needing help with two vicious dogs. The dogs that attacked an elderly subject causing injury and were eventually located and detained by animal control.

8:00 p.m.: Officers responded to the 300 block of South Lamine Avenue in reference to a fraud report. They gathered information and a report was generated.

Dec. 6

10:08 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of West Third Street in reference to theft of money from a bank account that was used in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

10:19 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East Fifth Street in reference to a violation of a protection order. They met with the reporting party and gathered information for a report. 

4:30 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the police department lobby for a subject wanting to make a report of harassment in the 1600 block of South Sneed Avenue. Officers gathered information and a report was completed.

11:57 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Warren Avenue regarding a previous burglary. They spoke with the victim to gather information for a report. There are no suspects at this time. 

Dec. 7

7:01 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Blvd, for a report of theft. A subject tag-swapped, skip-scanned and concealed items then left the business without paying for them. The value of the theft was $142.58. The suspect has been identified and charges are being sought. 

Dec. 8

12:29 p.m.: Officers responded to Casey's, 1601 East Broadway Blvd, in reference to found property. Four debit cards were located near the business. Officers attempted to contact the owners but were unsuccessful and the cards were placed into evidence as found property. 

2:36 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1300 Block of South Lamine Avenue for an overdose. They administered Narcan and assisted PCAD with treatment of the female who was transported to Bothwell.

4:37 a.m.: A sexual assault was reported in the 1800 block of South Carr Avenue.

Dec. 9

4:03 a.m.: An officer responded to the 1700 block of West 16th Street for the report of a motor vehicle theft. A Dodge Journey was stolen from the victim’s workplace overnight.

Dec. 9

4:45 p.m.: Pettis County deputies recovered a bicycle and a kid scooter in the 2600 block of James Lane. The items will be kept at the sheriff's office for safekeeping.

Arrests

Dec. 6

8:59 p.m.: Katlyn M. Lakin, 25, of Warsaw was arrested in Saline County for felony resisting arrest, a misdemeanor Pettis County warrant and driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Lafayette County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. 

11:27 p.m.: Kelly K. Gerbes, 54, of Kaiser was arrested in Moniteau County for driving while revoked - a third or subsequent offense. She was transported to the Moniteau County Jail and released.
