This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Nov. 16

8:51 p.m.: Paul Anthony Mundy, 35, of Windsor, was arrested in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Avenue for five counts of stealing. An officer responded to a business for a report of a theft in progress. Employees said two suspects were in the store who had stolen from the business on multiple occasions. Contact was made with the suspects, who were arrested. The total value for the combined thefts was more than $8,000.

Jan. 6

12:07 p.m.: Bobby Ross, 60, of the 600 block of West 20th Street, was issued a municipal court summons in the 400 block of South Ohio Avenue for assault. The victims reported the suspect approached their vehicle and then sprayed pepper spray inside of it. The suspect was located shortly after the report.

Jan. 11

1:46 p.m.: Kevin S. Morrison, 49, of the 26000 block of Goodwill Chapel Road, was arrested in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard for harassment. An officer responded to a subject check. Management advised the officer that a male subject was seen performing a lewd act in his vehicle but left prior to the officer’s arrival. The suspect was identified and located a short time later.

Jan. 12

1:51 a.m.: Shaun C. Paxton, 42, of the 500 block of North Quincy Avenue, was arrested in the 200 block of Thompson Road for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant. An officer saw a subject walking in the back parking lot of a business. The subject provided a false name and requested an ambulance. The suspect’s real name was discovered and the officer learned he had a warrant from Johnson County. While waiting on PCAD, the subject lowered himself to the ground and began to shake as if he was having a seizure. He was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center and was found in possession of methamphetamine.

7:01 a.m.: Brenden Michael Price, 22, of the 24000 block of Oak Grove Lane, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Vermont Avenue for

Jan. 12

9:57 a.m.: Amanda Rachelle, 38, of the 4000 block of Cardinal Circle, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Emmet Avenue for possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. A traffic stop was conducted for speeding. An investigation during the stop revealed the driver was in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

12:20 p.m.: An officer responded to an apartment building in the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue for a report of property damage. The value of the damaged property is $1,620.

5:55 p.m.: An officer responded to a disturbance in the SPD parking lot. While trying to determine what was going on, one of the subjects became uncooperative. The subject refused multiple directives to get out of the vehicle and nearly struck three officers with the vehicle. The subject was restrained and the vehicle was searched, which revealed a large quantity of THC vape cartridges, a large amount of cash, and a scale. The subject was a juvenile who was released to his mother. A referral of distribution of marijuana, first-degree harassment, fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest was made to the Pettis County Juvenile Office.

9:03 p.m.: Jeremy M. Lawson, 35, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County for felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 13

5:37 p.m.: Kristina M. Martin, 35, of Warsaw, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated.
