This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 13

8:25 p.m.: Alexander Francis Morris, 41, of the 1200 block of Spring Street, was arrested near the intersection of West 11th Street and South Missouri Avenue for identity theft, possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and three warrants. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle with no tail lights on. The passenger provided a false identity and it was later discovered he had multiple warrants. He was also found in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and related paraphernalia.

Jan. 14

12:13 p.m.: Jeremiah J. Miller, 29, of the 300 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested near the intersection of South Moniteau Avenue and Wilkerson Street for driving with a revoked license. A traffic stop was conducted for a driver the officer recognized as having a revoked license.

1:30 p.m.: Ashley Nichole Bridges, 26, of the 1000 block of East 13th Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue for driving with a suspended license. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle with an expired license plate.

9:03 p.m.: Mario D. Logan, 34, of the 1100 block of South Harding Avenue, was issued a municipal court summons at his residence for possession of marijuana and operator’s license required. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle with a headlight out and an expired temporary tag. The driver did not have a valid license and was in possession of marijuana.

Jan. 15

12:55 a.m.: Eric B. Fisk, 43, of the 3400 block of West Broadway Boulevard, was arrested at his residence for third-degree domestic assault and tampering with a witness. Officers responded to a report of a domestic in progress.

Incidents

Jan. 13

5:32 p.m.: An officer responded to the 2900 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a report of stealing and property damage. The manager said between 10 a.m. Jan. 12 and 5:20 p.m. Jan. 13, someone cut copper wires and pipes from several of the air conditioning units on the property. A pair of bolt cutters were found on the scene. The estimated value of damage and items taken is $5,000.

Jan. 14

7:50 p.m.: Officers initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle with no front registration near the area of South Hancock Avenue and East Sixth Street. Officers smelled the odor of marijuana from the vehicle and it was searched. Marijuana and methamphetamine were found. The driver was released from the scene and charges were later submitted for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and driving without a valid license.
