This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 25

1:51 p.m.: Christopher Eric McCallister, 44, of Warrensburg, was arrested near the intersection of South New York Avenue and West 24th Street for driving with a suspended license and speeding. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle traveling 24 miles over the speed limit.

7:25 p.m.: Nikolay Boyko, 51, of the 600 block of East 11th Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Massachusetts Avenue for driving while intoxicated (persistent offender) and driving with a revoked license. An officer responded to a business for a report of an intoxicated subject. The suspect left prior to the officer’s arrival but the officer observed the suspect’s vehicle traveling recklessly on Broadway. A traffic stop was conducted and when the officer made contact, he detected the odor of intoxicants on the driver’s breath. The driver was uncooperative and it was discovered he had a revoked license. He was taken to SPD and refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained he was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for a blood draw.

Arrests

Jan. 21

2:30 a.m.: Deputies took a report for an inmate in possession of a controlled substance in the jail. Freddie Thomas was already being held for prior charges but is now awaiting formal charges for possession of a controlled substance in a county jail.

Jan. 24

11:16 a.m.: Bonnie Sandifer, 62, of Sedalia, was arrested in the 5100 block of South Limit Avenue for assault and animal abuse.

Jan. 25

9:10 p.m.: Bianca Calderon, of Knob Noster, was arrested on U.S. Route 50 near Crystal Springs Road in La Monte for possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle without a valid license. A traffic stop was conducted for a speeding violation. During the stop, deputies located marijuana during a probable cause search of the vehicle.

Incidents

Jan. 23

12:43 p.m.: A trailer was reported stolen in the 38000 block of Maple Grove in Windsor.
