This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Dec. 31

3:03 a.m.: Ruby C. Marin, 29, of the 200 block of Rainbow Drive, was arrested near the intersection of West Third Street and South Limit Avenue for driving while intoxicated, first-degree endangering the welfare of a child and improper lane usage. A traffic stop was conducted for several lane-use violations. Investigation revealed the driver was intoxicated.

9:20 p.m.: Christopher Alan Bauer, 36, of the 400 block of East Sixth Street, was issued a municipal court summons near the intersection of South Mill Street and East Third Street for possession of marijuana. Officers responded to a report of a possible intoxicated subject walking in the roadway. Officers made contact with a person who matched the description and smelled the odor of marijuana on his person. Through further investigation, officers found 14 grams of marijuana on his person.

10:41 p.m.: Tonjya L. Gordon, 39, of the 1200 block of Deseret Drive, was arrested near the intersection of East 24th Street and South Massachusetts Avenue for driving with a revoked license. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle speeding and failing to maintain the right half of the road.

10:52 p.m.: William R. Taylor Sr., 49, of the 400 block of North Lamine Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of North Missouri Avenue and West Johnson Street for resisting arrest. A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle with a defective headlamp. The passenger fled the vehicle after it stopped and was apprehended by officers. He had two Pettis County warrants.

Jan. 1

3:56 a.m.: A firearm valued at $200 was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of Crescent Drive.

3:49 p.m.: Adam Aaron Landon, 29, of the 2500 block of Southwest Boulevard, was arrested at his residence for private peace disturbance. Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call.

8:37 p.m.: Ashley Nicole Meyrose, 37, of the 2300 block of West Main Street, was arrested in the 700 block of West 16th Street for driving with a suspended license. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle with no license plates.

Incidents

Dec. 30

4:15 p.m.: An officer responded to the 1000 block of North Grand Avenue for an animal complaint. During an investigation by Sedalia Code Enforcement, it was discovered around 100 ducks were being neglected on the property. The ducks were removed from the property and a criminal investigation was started.

Jan. 1

3:43 p.m.: An officer responded to McAnally Court to assist the Children’s Division with an investigation into possible child abuse. Contact was made with the individuals involved. The case remains under investigation.

Arrests

Jan. 1

1:18 a.m.: Katie Grissum, of Boonville, was arrested on U.S. Route 65 for driving while intoxicated and driving on the wrong side of the roadway.

Jan. 2

1:22 a.m.: Jason Ryan Bartlett was arrested in the area of Sedalia and Georgetown roads for driving with a revoked/suspended license, failure to register a vehicle and possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana.

9:52 p.m.: Daniel Ray, of Independence, was issued citations on U.S. Route 50 near Rissler Road for no driver’s license and no proof of insurance.

Jan. 3

1:16 p.m.: Bre’Asia Jones was arrested in the 100 block of Roadrunner Court for making a terroristic threat. Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance that occurred the evening of Jan. 2. After an investigation, Jones was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending the filing of formal charges.

Incidents

Dec. 30

12:10 a.m.: A red 2009 Mazda was reported stolen from a residence in the 700 block of McVey.
