This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 29

3:45 p.m.:  Nicolay Boyko, 51, of Green Ridge, was arrested after officers responded to the area of South Massachusetts Avenue and East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a three-vehicle accident. Boyko was issued a municipal citation for driving with a revoked license.

7:46 p.m.: Gregory J. Faust, 57, of the 2700 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested after officers responded to East 13th Street and South Hancock Avenue for a motor vehicle crash involving three vehicles. Faust had a suspended driver's license from the state of Kansas. He was subsequently arrested then released on a summons for driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

June 24

11:24 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of 601 E. 14th St.for a license violation. The driver was found in possession of methamphetamine. Due to a medical emergency, the driver was released from the scene and charges are being requested.

June 28

5:29 p.m.: An officer took a report in the SPD lobby regarding harassment involving juvenile subjects. A juvenile referral was completed over the incident.

June 29

11:09 a.m.: Kevin Lewis Hanson, 52, of the 1400 block of 11th Street, was issued a summons after officers took a report over the phone of theft of utilities. Hanson was located and issued a summons for theft of utilities.

3:35 p.m.: An officer took a report of a forgery at a business on South Limit Avenue. The amount stolen was $812.68 from a forged check.

Arrests

June 30

1:01 a.m.: Jonathan Rockett, of Sedalia, was arrested after deputies and a K-9 Unit were dispatched to the 1500 block of Crestview Drive in reference to trespassing. During the investigation, deputies arrested Rockett for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance inside a jail facility, and first-degree trespassing.

Arrests

June 29

10:13 p.m.: Montisha L. Bradford, 31, of Grandview, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, driving without a valid driver's license, and possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
