This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

July 27

8:35 p.m.: Kyle N. Richards, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a harassment. It was discovered a male subject took a female subject’s debit card and withdrew $400 in cash from an ATM without permission. Richards was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. State charges of felony stealing and misdemeanor fraudulent use of a debit device have been requested. 

July 28

10:34 p.m.: Christina Romero Ubaldo, 43, of the 300 block of North Grand Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop near the intersection of Thompson Boulevard and West 10th Street. Ubaldo was arrested for operating without a valid license. She was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, processed, and released.

11:55 p.m.: Margarito Marcos Quetzecus, 22, of the 700 block of West Cooper Street, was arrested after a traffic stop on West Cooper Street. He was found to be intoxicated and had a confirmed warrant out of Pettis County. He was arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail and released on charges of no driver’s license and driving while intoxicated. 

July 29

12:22 a.m.: Michele A. Davenport, 54, of the 100 block of West Cooper Street, was arrested after officers were dispatched to a business in the 1200 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a disturbance. Management called the police department regarding an intoxicated subject in a hotel room causing a disturbance. The subject refused to leave and was arrested on a state charge of trespass. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked, and released. 

2:42 a.m.: Joshua L. Hilton, 33, and Angie Steeves, 40, of the 600 block of South Barrett Avenue, were arrested after officers were dispatched in reference to a domestic disturbance. Both a male and female subject were arrested for domestic assault and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held on a 24-hour hold while charges are being sought for fourth-degree

domestic assault.

Incidents

July 24

8:59 a.m.: Officers responded to Clinton Road just north of 24th Street for a single-vehicle crash. An investigation showed the driver of the vehicle was driving intoxicated, however, due to a medical condition he was released to medical staff. Charges will be filed for driving while intoxicated.

July 28

4:57 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Lamine Avenue for a report of a theft from a vehicle. When officers arrived, the victim stated his car was rummaged through and items were missing.

11:05 a.m.: Management reported a counterfeit bill had been passed over the weekend at a business in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue. The bill was placed into evidence.

6:59 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to Centennial Park pool, 1500 E. 16th St. for a report of theft. The victim stated that someone had stolen money out of her wallet and took her driver's license.

7:28 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 2400 block of Stacey Lane for a report of theft. A caller stated his work trailer was parked at the storage units in the 3500 block of Green Ridge Road and someone had broken in and stolen items. The caller stated there was around $3,000 worth of tools stolen.

8:41 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to Centennial Park pool, 1500 E. 16th St., for a theft. The caller stated her cell phone, valued at $1,000, was stolen from the pool.

July 29

2:58 p.m.: An officer responded to the 1200 block of South Grand Avenue for a report of theft. The victim reported a jar containing approximately $120 in change was stolen from his residence. A possible suspect has been named in the case.

Arrests

July 28

5:45 a.m.: Jamarious Michael Neal, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested after deputies were dispatched to a business in the 4700 block of South Limit Avenue for theft. $309 was missing from the money drawer and after reviewing video from the security cameras, deputies arrested Neal for stealing. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail and released pending the filing of charges.

July 28

11:25 a.m.: Jackie W. Hensley, 59, from Houstonia, was arrested in Pettis County for a felony warrant, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trespassing. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail.
