This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 9

7:03 a.m.: Dale B. Edwards, 51, of the 300 block of West 10th Street, was arrested after a traffic stop near West Main Street and Winchester Drive. Edwards was found to have a suspended driver's license and was taken to the Pettis County Jail and booked for driving without a valid license. 

10:19 p.m.: Donald Ray Schrock, 63, of the 24000 block of Oak Grove Lane, was arrested after a traffic stop on State Fair Boulevard near North Main Street on a motorcycle. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the subject was intoxicated. Schrock was arrested and transported to the SPD, given a citation for driving while intoxicated, and released to a sober driver. 

Incidents

June 6

1:49 p.m.: A victim came to the SPD lobby in reference to a hit-and-run accident. She stated her vehicle was struck while parked on West 20th Street near Limit Avenue earlier in the day. The striking vehicle left without providing information. At the time of the report, the suspect had not been identified.

June 9

7:16 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of West Third Street for a child investigation. Information was gathered from all parties and is being documented for a general information report.

June 9

1:53 p.m.: Darren M. Lynch, 52, of Lee's Summit, was arrested in Johnson County for three Lee's Summit misdemeanor warrants and driving with a revoked license. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail.
