This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests
June 4
2:20 a.m.: Tyesha Lynette Peck, of Sedalia was arrested after officers responded to 509 W. Johnson St. in reference to a vehicle check. Officers made contact with Peck who was yelling and being uncooperative. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail, and issued Municipal citations.
June 7
11:08 a.m.: Kyle M. Richards, 36, of Sedalia was arrested after an officer took a report of an alleged kidnapping and attempted sexual assault that took place at the Best Western motel on Sunday June 6. On June 10 Richards was found, interviewed, arrested, and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and held for 24-hours pending charges of burglary first degree, kidnapping third degree, sexual abuse second degree, and stealing from the building. 
June 9
8:03 p.m.: Ernest L. Brown, 39, of the 26000 block of Goodwill Chapel Road was arrested after officers conducted a vehicle stop on Broadway Boulevard at Applebee's. The subjects were identified and run through dispatch, and Brown was confirmed to have a suspended driver's license. He was arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail, and issued a municipal citation.
June 11
2:34 a.m.:Stuart W. Kimbrell, 48, of the 1100 block of East Fifth Street was arrested after officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. He allowed a search of his person and was found to be in possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending State charges of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. 
4:13 a.m.: Charity Rachae Dixon, 23, of the 300 block of McAnally Court was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Main Street and Winchester Drive for a license violation. Dixon, a passenger in the vehicle, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Incidents
June 4

11:24 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to an accident that occurred at Break Time, 808 E. Broadway Blvd. The caller said a vehicle had backed into her SUV as she was pulling into the parking lot and then left the area. No arrests have been made at this time.
June 9
9:48 a.m.: Tyler Nathaniel Tindall, 18, of the 600 block of Maple Lane was issued a summons after a vehicle check on the 1800 block of West Fourth Street. The subject was found to have marijuana in his possession, which was seized.
June 10
8 a.m.: The Pettis County Children's Division notified the Sedalia Police Department of a possible sexual assault of a minor child that occurred 3 years ago in the 200 block of Scott Joplin Court. The case is still under investigation.
12:40 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to Vermont Park for a property damage report. An unknown suspect broke a soap dispenser and scattered paper towels throughout the bathrooms.
6:23 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1500 Block of South Moniteau Avenue for a violation of a court order. The victim stated the suspect had an active full order of protection and was knocking on her door. The suspect was identified, but not located. Charges are being requested.
6:42 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1500 Block of South Osage Avenue in reference to property damage. The victims stated someone had damaged the residence window and back door. Estimated damage was $1,500.

Arrests
June 9
1:53 p.m.: Darren M. Lynch, 52, of Lee's Summit, Missouri was arrested in Johnson County for three misdemeanor warrants out of Lee's Summit, and driving with a revoked license. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail.
June 10
8:40 p.m.: Ahmad Benson, 21, of Kansas City, Kansas, was arrested in Henry County for a felony warrant out of Jackson County, driving while intoxicated, and possession of marijuana less-than 35 grams. He was transported to Henry County Jail.
