Police Reports June 18

This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 16

11:14 a.m.: Jesus Ubaldo Quetzeucua, 25, of the 1100 block of East 11th Street, was arrested after a traffic stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue. A check showed the driver had an active warrant from Pettis County for failure to appear on a traffic offense and that his license was suspended. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked. 

10:29 p.m.: Felicia Joyce Brainard, 30, of the 1200 block of South Wagner Avenue, was arrested after officers initiated a traffic stop for a truck with no tail lights near the intersection of North Engineer Avenue and East Howard Street. A check showed the driver's license status was suspended and Brainard was arrested, transported to the police department, and released with a City ticket for driving with a suspended license.

11:33 p.m.: James Paul McKee, 32, of the 1400 block of South Sneed Avenue, was arrested after an officer recognized him at a business at West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue. A check revealed he had a revoked driver's license. McKee was placed under arrest for driving while revoked and transported to the SPD where he was processed and issued a municipal citation.

Incidents

June 14

12:27 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the Bothwell Regional Health Center’s emergency room in reference to a dog bite that happened near a business in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard around noon June 13. The victim sustained an injury and a report was made.

June 16

11:51 a.m.: A business in the 800 block of Westwood Avenue reported fraudulent documents passed at locations outside the city limits. At the time of the report, there was no suspect information.

12:19 p.m.: A victim came to the SPD and reported their vehicle had been damaged. Several portions of the vehicle had new damage. The victim wasn't sure where or when it would have occurred. The vehicle is normally parked outside the residence in the 1000 block of East 10th Street. A family member had borrowed it for an extended period of time. It’s estimated it would cost $3,000 to repair the damage. A report was taken to document the incident. 

7:28 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 300 block of East 16th Street for a report of property damage. The victim stated suspects were observed on camera spray painting on the property. The suspects were identified as juveniles and reports are being sent to the Pettis County Juvenile Office.

9:07 p.m.: Officers responded to the 400 block of North Veterans Memorial Drive for a theft report. The victim stated she was shopping at a business in the 4400 block of West Wisconsin Avenue when her phone went missing. A track of the phone showed the location, but no contact was made. The phone is still missing at the time of this report and is considered stolen.

Arrests 

June 16

11 a.m.: Trevor S. Hayes, 29, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County for a felony Missouri Probation and Parole warrant, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony resisting arrest, and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.
