This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 21

8:30 p.m.: Carlos A. Ciniceros Ramirez, 28, of Independence, was arrested after a traffic stop in the 2400 block of West Broadway Boulevard. It was determined the driver was intoxicated and he was transported to the police department and issued a uniform traffic ticket for driving while intoxicated, speeding, and improper lane usage.

May 26

11:16 p.m.: Theodore Parker, 58, of Tipton, was arrested after a traffic stop for a vehicle without tail lights at the corner of West Broadway Boulevard and Industrial Road. It was determined the driver had a revoked driving status and Parker was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.

May 31

6:38 p.m.: Mose Kenneth Watson, 45, of the 400 block of North Mill Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop in the area of East Fifth Street and South Thompson Avenue for not displaying a license plate. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license and no insurance. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released pending municipal charges for driving while suspended and no insurance.

8:54 p.m.: Margaret M. Keele, 36, of the 1800 block of South Kentucky Avenue, was issued a summons after Sedalia Police made a traffic stop in the area of 32nd Street and South Limit Avenue. Her driver’s license had been revoked and she was issued a summons for driving with a revoked license and released at the scene.

9:18 p.m.: Seth Ryan Borque, 33, of the 1700 block of South Lamine Avenue, was arrested after officers connected a traffic stop intersection of West 14th Street and  South Osage Ave. The driver was operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license and was released on scene to a licensed driver with a summons.

Incidents

May 31

10:12 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a home in the 500 block of West Seventh Street for a burglary report. An unknown suspect entered the home and took cash, jewelry, and a speaker.

11:20 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of South Lamine Avenue for a report of harassment. The victim stated that the previous night around midnight, three juveniles came up to her house looking for her sons. The victim said the juveniles began to threaten her.

11:46 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of East Sixth Street for a trespassing report. An unknown male suspect was able to get into the caller’s apartment before fleeing the area.

11:49 a.m.: A male subject came to the police department and reported his granddaughter's bicycle was stolen from his back porch. The bike was later located being ridden by a juvenile male suspect who said he took it out of someone’s yard. He was released to his parents and the bike was returned to the owner. A referral will be submitted to the Pettis County Juvenile Office.

10:13 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of East Third Street in reference to a domestic assault. The caller said a female known to him had punched him in the face several times earlier in the night. A referral was forwarded to the juvenile office

10:46 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of South Kentucky Avenue in reference to property damage. The caller said someone had slit two of her tires. The estimated damage was $300. There has not been an arrest at this time.

Arrests

May 31

10 a.m.: Caleb Thomas Scott, of Camdenton, was arrested after a vehicle check in the 22000 block of Chevalier Road in La Monte. Scott was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold for charges of trafficking drugs, first-degree – fentanyl, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with a revoked driver's license third-offense.
