This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
1:48 a.m.: Malachi Quamayne Eugene Sims, 21, of Warrensburg, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to West Seventh Street and South Moniteau Avenue for a subject check. People were playing loud music and one subject was arrested for public consumption. Sims was transported to the Sedalia Police Department and issued a uniform traffic ticket.
10:42 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. An employee said a woman came into the store, refused to pay for a cup of ice, and left with the cup.
3:44 a.m.: Officers responded to the 200 block of East 16th Street about a stolen vehicle. They gathered information to label the vehicle as stolen and wrote a report.
