This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 29

4:45 a.m.: Bryan Lee Graf, 47, of Warrenton, was arrested after officers made a vehicle check on a truck near South Washington and East Seventh Street. A check showed the truck was stolen out of Warrenton. The subject inside the vehicle was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of tampering with a motor vehicle, first-degree possession of a controlled substance in a county jail, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

May 31

2:20 a.m.: Justin L. Klein, 19, of the 1500 block of East 12th Street, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to the 500 block of East Fourth Street in reference to property damage. The victim reported four tires on a car had been slashed. The victim provided suspect vehicle information and surveillance video from a camera system. The suspect was eventually located and arrested. He was issued a municipal summons.

June 3

12:03 a.m.: Tammy M. Soriano Sanders, 38, 1400 block of East Ninth Street, was arrested after a traffic stop on Engineer Avenue because a computer showed the owner’s driving status was suspended. The driver was arrested and transported to the police department, fingerprinted and released with a city ticket for driving with a suspended license.

12:30 a.m.: Neil Wayne Mathews, 27, of the 1500 block West 16th Street, was arrested after an officer observed a car at a high rate of speed westbound on Broadway Boulevard. Radar indicated 83 miles per hour in a 40 mile-per-hour zone. The driver was intoxicated and in possession of marijuana. He was transported to the SPD for processing and then released with a municipal citation for driving while intoxicated, speeding, and possession of marijuana. He was released to a sober person.

Incidents

June 2

6:35 p.m.: A vehicle was reported stolen from the 200 block of Rainbow Drive. The vehicle was later located in Boonville by the Boonville Police Department, which will also be making arrangements to have the vehicle returned to the owner. 

6:44 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the area of West 15th Street and South Osage Avenue for a report of a domestic assault. The victim stated the suspect had assaulted her. Charges are being requested through the prosecutor's office.

May 2

12:26 p.m.: Cathryn V. Jaco, 26, of St. Louis, was arrested in Saline County for first-degree tampering. She was transported to the Saline County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
