This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
7:04 p.m.: Scott Randale Whitcher, 32, of the 1700 block of South Lamine Avenue, was arrested after the K-9 unit performed a subject check on a wanted person in the 1700 block of South Vermont Avenue. During the contact, a vehicle related to the wanted person pulled up at the location and the driver did not have a valid driver's license. Whitcher was issued a citation for no driver's license and released from the scene.
11:34 p.m.: Homer C. Lucas, 41, of Otterville, was arrested after a traffic stop for traveling the wrong way on a one-way street. He had a suspended license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked, and released for driving with a suspended license.
9:52 p.m.: Officers took a report of an assault at Liberty Park, 1500 W. Third St. The coach for a youth baseball team said a mother came into the dugout and pushed her. Information was collected and a report was completed.
7:47 a.m.: Police took a report over the phone from the 700 block of East Ninth Street. The victim reported someone stole a bicycle overnight from his yard.
3:14 p.m.: An officer spoke with the victim in the lobby of the police department about a theft from a vehicle near South Osage Avenue and West Fifth Street. The victim said her wallet and contents had been taken from her unlocked vehicle.
10:09 p.m.: An officer responded to the 900 block of Winchester Drive for a report of a missing person. The caller reported her son had been gone from home for more than a day and had been out of contact. Information was collected for a missing person report.
2:26 p.m.: Derek A. Duggar, 33, of Windsor, was arrested in Johnson County for felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and speeding. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
7:25 p.m.: Garrett W. Lenard, 25, of Clinton, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated - drugs and speeding. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
