Arrests
June 7
7:10 p.m.: Christopher M. Burgess, 30, of the 1700 block of South Osage Avenue, was arrested after officers responded in reference to a domestic disturbance. The victim stated that a male known to her physically assaulted her. Officers made contact with the suspect and arrested him for fourth-degree domestic assault. Burgess was transported to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold.
8:43 p.m.: Nathanael Aaron David Haines, 32, the 2800 block of South Ingram Avenue, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to a business in the 4200 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a driver passed out behind the wheel. It was determined that the driver was highly intoxicated. He was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated, transported to the Sedalia Police Headquarters, the hospital, and then to the Pettis County Jail to be booked for driving while intoxicated-prior offender.

June 6
7:35 p.m.: Officers responded to Scott Joplin Court for a theft report. Upon speaking to the victim and the suspect, the item was found in the victim's house but was damaged. The victim wished to pursue charges for property damage. Charges were submitted to the City of Sedalia Prosecutor's Office for destruction of non-city property.
June 7
11:54 p.m.: Officers took a harassment report in the SPD lobby. The victim said the suspect was harassing her by continually texting her. She was advised to stop responding and block the suspect but she refused. She wished to pursue charges for harassment. Charges have been submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office for second-degree harassment.
7:40 p.m.: An officer took a theft report from the 1900 block of South Montgomery Avenue. The victim stated someone had taken a lawnmower from their property.

Arrests
June 6
1:14 a.m.: Thomas Hamline, of Independence, was arrested after deputies responded to the 30200 block of McKee Road in Sedalia in reference to a possible burglary in progress. Deputies observed a vehicle in a field without lights on. Deputies made contact with the vehicle, and K-9 Cav alerted to the presence of narcotics within the vehicle. Hamline was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended license.
June 7
2:40 a.m.: Sydney Ward was arrested after the Missouri State Highway Patrol was involved in a vehicle pursuit reaching 90 miles-per-hour on U.S. 50 Highway. East of Tipton, the vehicle traveled off the roadway and the driver, later identified as Ward, fled on foot, leaving a juvenile child in the vehicle. Pettis County Deputy Jimmy Moore and K-9 Cav were called to assist with the tracking of Ward. Cav was able to track the suspect to a small body of water when she attempted to resist again. Cav engaged the suspect but Moore was able to restrain the K-9. Ward was taken into custody without injury. She was wanted on several warrants, one of which was a felony with no bond. Other charges are pending related to the pursuit and the child’s presence during an unlawful act.
June 8
5 a.m.: Cameron R. Fehr was arrested after deputies responded to a business in the 4700 block of South Limit Avenue for a report of two subjects fighting outside. Deputies arrested Fehr for property damage.

June 6
1 p.m.: A deputy was dispatched to the 18000 block of Fristoe Road on a report of theft, property damage, and trespassing. Upon arrival, the reporting person stated someone known to her had entered her property and removed a trailer with items that belonged to her.
