This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Feb. 27

1:03 p.m.: Alexander Francis Knipp, 34, of the 800 block of South Vermont Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop for a suspended license near West Main Street and West Broadway Boulevard. The driver was arrested along with the passenger, who had an active Johnson County warrant. Both subjects were transported to the Pettis County Jail, where they were booked. Knipp was booked for driving with a suspended license.

Feb. 28

12:49 p.m.: David Mabry, 35, of Marshall, was arrested after detectives with the Crime Resolution Unit stopped an improperly registered vehicle in the 200 block of West Third Street. The driver and passenger quickly tried to swap seats. Mabry’s license was found to be revoked and he was arrested for driving with a suspended/revoked license.

March 5

5:49 p.m.: Gary G. Brown, 53, of the 1000 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested after officers responded to a business in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Avenue for a theft report. The suspect who had left the store was quickly located and was arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked, and released for property damage and stealing.

March 9

6:54 p.m.: Jesus Guzman Nunez, 32, of the 2200 block of West First Street Terrace, was arrested after a vehicle stop for suspicion of a revoked driver and for failure to maintain the right-half of the roadway. Nunez was transported to the police department, where he was processed and released with a municipal citation for driving with a suspended license.

March 10

2:37 a.m.: Adrian Danial Muntean, 18, of the 1700 block of South Carr Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop at East 17th Street and South Marvin Avenue for expired plates. A check revealed the driver had a suspended driver's license and Muntean was arrested, processed, and released for driving while suspended and having an expired vehicle registration.

Incidents

March 3

1:33 p.m.: An officer responded to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a trespassing incident. The suspect left prior to officers' arrival but is known and state charges are being requested.

March 10

1:22 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 300 block of South Lamine Avenue for a theft that had just occurred. A $93 bar tab was not paid prior to the suspect leaving. Info was gathered and the business was willing to pursue charges.

Arrests

March 9

6:03 p.m.: Franklin L. Smith, 33, of Rocky Mount, was arrested in Morgan County for a misdemeanor warrant out of the Jefferson City Police Department and felony possession of a controlled substance- methamphetamine. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

10:04 p.m.: Kelly Y. Plumlee, 58, of Clinton, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated - drugs, failure to drive on the right-half of the roadway involving an accident, and no insurance. She was transported to the Johnson County Jail and released.
