This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Incidents

March 1

8:24 a.m.: An officer began investigating an incident that was previously reported to the police involving a burglary and stealing from the Missouri State Fairgrounds. The property was recovered in an unrelated case and an investigation is ongoing.

March 13

10:51 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1000 block of West Fourth Street for reports of gunshots. They located a vehicle with a flat tire that had been shot and bullet casings were located on the ground near the vehicle. A report was completed and a person of interest is known.

March 14

3:43 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Massachusetts Avenue in reference to a theft report. The reporting party stated her window air conditioner unit was stolen from the front of her home. No suspects have been identified.

Pettis County Sheriff's Office

Incidents

March 15

2:30 a.m.: A deputy was dispatched to the 3000 block of Brooking Park Road in Pettis County for an assault report. An assault had taken place between two residents and one was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for his injuries. The investigation continues into this matter.

Arrests

March 15

1:02 a.m.: Amber M. Murphy, 34, of Knob Noster, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated - prior offender, and driving with a revoked license. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
