This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 24

8:10 a.m.: Jalisa B. Epperson, 19, of Kansas City, was arrested after a traffic stop near West Broadway Boulevard and South Kentucky Avenue. Epperson was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail on charges of driving while intoxicated - alcohol/drugs, first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and careless driving.

10:24 a.m.: Lioniel J. Meyers, 68, of the 1300 block of Walker Circle, was arrested after a vehicle stop at East Fifth Street and South Montgomery Avenue. Meyers had a revoked driving status and was issued a municipal citation and released on scene.

3:40 p.m.: Maekayla R. Walters, 19, of the 19,000 block of Hidden Hill Drive, was arrested after officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West Morgan Street and North Prospect Avenue. Walters was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked, and released for driving while intoxicated - alcohol/drugs.

March 25

8:27 a.m.: Tabbatha D. Lindley, 41, of the 1000 block of South Lamine Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Ohio Avenue. Lindley was intoxicated and operating a vehicle without a driver's license. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked, and released for driving while intoxicated - alcohol/drugs and operating a vehicle without a valid license.

March 26

2:08 a.m.: Harold Mitchell Washington Jr., 49, of Knob Noster, was arrested after a traffic stop at South Kentucky Avenue near West Fourth Street for failing to stop at a stop sign. It was determined Washington was intoxicated. He was transported to the Sedalia Police Department and then the Pettis County Jail for driving while intoxicated - alcohol.

3:30 a.m.: Raul Martinez Alvarado, 38, of the 1300 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested after an officer observed a vehicle perpendicular in the roadway on South Wagner Avenue. Alvarado was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving while intoxicated - alcohol.

Incidents

March 24

3:58 p.m.: Officers took a report in the SPD lobby in reference to a theft. The complaint stated her wallet was stolen while at a business in the 600 block of East 14th Street. At the time of the report, no suspect information has been gathered.

5:39 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the police department lobby in reference to a fraud report in the 1500 block of Thompson Boulevard. The caller reported her bank account had been fraudulently accessed and money was removed. No arrests have been made.

March 25

1:07 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Broadway Boulevard for an assault. They gathered information to generate a report. There are no suspects.

8:05 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 100 block of East 16th Street in reference to a theft report. The owner said a recently hired employee stole money from the business.

March 26

6:31 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a theft that occurred in the 900 block of South Kennedy Avenue. The victim stated someone stole items from their vehicle.

7:08 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of West 16th Street for a call regarding theft. They gathered information to create a report. There are no suspects.

9:32 p.m.: Officers responded to the area of West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue in reference to a weapons call. The caller stated they were walking down the street when a car drove by and shot a BB gun at them, striking the building behind them and causing damage to a window. The caller was not hit or injured. There are no suspects.

Arrests

March 26

9:09 p.m.: Jasmine McCartney, 32, was arrested after deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of 16th Street and Osage Avenue on a vehicle with no license plates. As the deputy was conducting the stop, the driver and front seat passenger began to switch places. McCartney was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released for driving with a revoked/suspended license.

Incidents

March 26

7:30 a.m.: Deputies were dispatched to the 30000 block of Claire Lane in Green Ridge for two 911 hang-up calls. After a third call, it was revealed a physical domestic disturbance had occurred. The victim told deputies they would not cooperate with the prosecution, so a 12-hour domestic log was put in place.

Arrests

March 24

2:09 p.m.: Christopher L. Rowles, 35, of Kansas City, was arrested in Saline County for felony possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.

6:47 p.m.: Wanda E. Murga, 53, of Richmond, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right-half of the roadway, failure to yield, and speeding. Merga was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

1105 p.m.: Tyler E. Adcock, 29, of Marshall, was arrested in Saline County for driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.

March 25

4:07 p.m.: Alan L. Johnson, 23, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and no valid insurance. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.

7:15 p.m.: William R. Washeleski, 50, of Centerview, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated - drugs, not stopping for a steady red light, and no insurance. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

March 26

12:54 a.m.: Patrick Svay, 32, of Blue Springs, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, and two misdemeanor warrants from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail.
