This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 7

2:30 a.m.: Misty J. Allen, 45, of the 100 block of East Jackson Street, was arrested in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard for driving while intoxicated. A car was stopped near East Broadway and South Marvin Avenue for failure to maintain the lane several times and suspicion of intoxicated driving. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. She was arrested, taken to SPD, processed and released with a municipal charge.

6:55 p.m.: Miguel J. Soc Lopez, 24, of the 700 block of Wilkerson Street, was arrested in the 800 block of West 16th Street for operator’s license required. Officers responded to a traffic accident. The driver of one of the vehicles did not have a valid license and was arrested.

10:54 p.m.: Noelio Ubaldo Quetzecua, 18, of the 400 block of West 16th Street, was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and South Stewart Avenue for operating a vehicle without a valid license. Officers conducted a traffic stop and found the driver did not have a valid license. The driver was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.

May 8

3:23 a.m.: Kylen Andrew Moore, 22, of Knob Noster, was arrested near the intersection of West Main Street and South Harrison Avenue for driving while intoxicated and improper lane usage. An SUV was stopped for the driver failing to maintain their lane several times, disobeying a stop sign and suspicion of intoxicated driving. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. He was arrested, taken to SPD, processed and released with municipal charges.

9:20 p.m.: Derek Lee Alan Fitzgerald, 22, of the 3500 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West 24th Street and South Grand Avenue for possession of drug paraphernalia and operator’s license required. Officers conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Fitzgerald, and a passenger were arrested. The passenger had two failure to appear warrants. The driver was booked and released with citations at the Pettis County Jail, while the passenger was held at the jail with no bond.

Incidents

May 6

9:08 p.m.: Officers responded to a hit-and-run accident in the 600 block of North Engineer Avenue involving a pedestrian. During the investigation, it was discovered to be a domestic incident. All parties were identified and contact was made. State charges are being requested for domestic assault.

May 7

5:31 p.m.: A victim reported that earlier in the day while checking out at a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard, she had selected the cash back option for $100 but forgot to retrieve the money. It was picked up by two individuals behind her. Security video of the theft was obtained but the suspects have not been identified.

9:24 p.m.: Officers took a missing juvenile report in the 900 block of Winchester Drive. The case is still being investigated.

May 8

1:28 a.m.: Officers responded to the 2400 block of West Second Street for a physical disturbance. Officers made contact with a resident who said his vehicle was damaged during the altercation, in which he was not involved. The suspect has been identified and a charge of property damage will be sent to the prosecutor for review.

Arrests

May 6

11:16 p.m.: Jose M. Cedillos Martinez, 48, of El Salvador, was arrested in Saline County for driving while intoxicated. He was taken to the Saline County Jail for a 12-hour hold.

May 7

2:23 a.m.: Rodney E. Rehkop, 45, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, speeding, no insurance and failure to dim headlights. He was taken to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

8:48 p.m.: Darrin K. White, 56, of Columbia, was arrested in Saline County for driving while intoxicated. He was taken to the Saline County Jail and released.

May 8

1:58 p.m.: Suzyn B. Hale, 58, of Kansas City, was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated. She was taken to the Henry County Jail and released.

8 p.m.: Ethan T. Mudd, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested in Moniteau County for speeding and driving while intoxicated. He was taken to the Moniteau County Jail.

May 9

Roger E. Harkey, 38, of Clinton, was arrested in Benton County for driving while intoxicated. He was taken to the Benton County Jail and released.
