This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 21 

11:02 a.m.: Stephen R. McIntyre, 38, of Grandview, was arrested after officers responded to the 800 block of Crescent Drive for a disturbance. Contact was made with a male subject and two female subjects. The females reported the male had attempted to enter the residence and threatened them. The male was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold.

11:47 a.m.: Jorge L. Rochin Jr., of the 400 block of East 16th Street, was arrested after officers were dispatched to Liberty Park in reference to an assault that just occurred. It was determined two subjects attacked others with a baseball bat, seemingly without provocation, and then fled the scene. Thanks to witnesses in the area a suspect was located, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. Charges of first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and elder abuse were filed. The other suspect has been identified and will face charges as well.

9:03 p.m.: Willie R. Waddell, 53, of Otterville, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of 3103 W. Broadway Blvd. after recognizing the driver as a wanted person. He was arrested for felony driving while revoked and had six active felony warrants for his arrest. 

May 22

10:20 a.m.: Stephen P. Davidson, 65, of Sedalia, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to Centennial Park in reference to an intoxicated subject yelling at children in the park. Davidson was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on a 12-hour hold and issued a citation for having alcohol in the park. Davidson was taken into protective custody due to his level of intoxication. 

May 23

11:45 p.m.: Dustin E. Galloway, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers responded to the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard for theft. The subject was located and arrested for shoplifting. He was taken to Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

3:59 p.m.: Anthony Marquez, 22, of the 1600 block of West 18th Street, was arrested after an officer observed an individual sleeping in the Taco Bell drive-thru. The driver was awakened and during the course of the investigation, it was determined he was intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked for driving while intoxicated. 

Incidents

May 18

3:57 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of East Morgan Street in reference to a theft. The victim stated her dog was stolen and she believes she knows who did it.

5:10 p.m.: An officer was dispatched for a report of theft that took place in the 100 block of East 28th Street. The victim stated that sometime between May 13 and May 14 someone stole his riding lawnmower. The victim estimated the mower to be worth $2,000. 

May 21

7:10 a.m.: Payge Marie Glover, 25, the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested after a traffic stop in the area of West 16th Street and South Prospect Avenue for a vehicle speeding through a school zone. Dispatch showed Glover had a suspended driver's license. She was issued a summons. 

3:12 p.m.: An officer responded to the 100 block of South Quincy Avenue regarding a burglary and theft, no longer in progress. The suspect, a juvenile, had already returned the stolen property when confronted by the victim. A juvenile referral was completed for the suspect.

9:59 p.m.: Gary E. Austin, 55, of the 400 block of East Chestnut Street, was issued a summons after an officer noticed a subject driving who was believed to have a suspended license. 

May 22

10:45 p.m.: Officers responded to Bothwell Regional Health Center in reference to an assault with a knife that occurred at Vermont park. The victim was a male juvenile that was stabbed by another male juvenile. The suspect has not been identified. 

3:42 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 2100 block of South Limit Avenue for a report of theft. The victim stated that sometime between May 7 and May 22 someone stole the catalytic converters off two of the vehicles in his parking lot. 

May 23

9:40 a.m.: An officer in the area of West 18th Street and Quincy Avenue observed a domestic disturbance on the 900 block of West 16th Street investigation revealed that a physical disturbance occurred between family members. A 12-hour log was entered. 

1:35 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of West 16th Street for a report of suspicious activity. A concerned party said she saw three juveniles filling Mountain Dew bottles with gasoline. In a search of the area, two juveniles were found and returned home.

7:08 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 4200 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a disturbance. The caller said she observed a physical altercation. When she pulled up the suspect got back in his truck and threatened her with a firearm as she passed. The suspects fled the area.

Arrests

May 23

11:20 p.m.: Bobby Johnson, of Sedalia, was arrested for driving with revoked driver's license after a traffic stop at the intersection of Highways 65 and 50 for expired registration. A patrol K-9 alerted to the vehicle for the presence of a controlled substance. A female passenger, Kimberly Dickinson, of Sedalia, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported to the Pettis County Jail. 

May 24

2:30 a.m.: Aaron J. Sims, of Boonville, was arrested as Pettis County deputies were assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol with a vehicle accident and Sims stopped on the roadway. Deputies made contact with the subject, who was operating a Dodge Dakota. Deputies could smell an odor of intoxicating beverage coming from the driver. Sims was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. 

Incidents

May 18

1:59 a.m.: A subject reported that on May 17 his identity was used without his knowledge or permission by a male subject who was arrested March 1 and booked into the Pettis County Jail. The incident is under investigation by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office and charges for identity theft and forgery are being sought. 

May 20

Midnight: Deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Highway 765 on an assault. The reporting person stated a male known to her had assaulted her and injuries were noticed on her face. A short time later contact was made with the suspect and he was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending the filing of domestic assault charges.

May 21

11:30 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 3100 block of Cannon Drive on a report of a stolen cell phone. The reporting person stated that between May 4 and May 21 someone took her cell phone. No value was given. 

May 22

Midnight: A man from the 30000 block Boonville Road reported to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office that someone had opened four bank accounts without his permission. The investigation is ongoing.

Arrests 

May 21

Caleb T. Berkaw, 21, of Foristell, was arrested in Saline County for resisting arrest. She was transported to the Saline County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

May 22

2:22 a.m.: Kelly C. Yeager, 39, of Cole Camp, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released. 

May 23

10:31 p.m.: Amanda R. Porter, 37, of Barnett, was arrested in Moniteau County for driving while intoxicated-drugs, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana-less than 10 grams. She was transported to the Moniteau County Jail.
