This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Incidents

May 24

6:27 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a property damage incident at a business in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue. The investigation continues.

7:33 a.m.: Sedalia police received a report from the Victoria Police Department in Texas for possible identity theft. The victim resides in Texas and claims that bank accounts have been opened using their information. 

8:13 a.m.: A victim reported to the SPD that sometime over the previous weekend someone stole his black Giant tandem bicycle valued at $400. There are no suspects at this time.

8:16 a.m.: A victim reported to the SPD that a generator was stolen from in front of a residence in the 600 block of West Seventh Street. 

Pettis County Sheriff's Office 

Incidents

May 24

6:30 p.m.: Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of West Minnehaha in Green Ridge in reference to damage to multiple mailboxes. There are no suspects at this time. If anyone has any information they are urged to contact the Pettis County Sheriff's Office at 660-827-0052.
