This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 24

12:09 a.m.: Angela R. Jackson, 58, of the 1000 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested after officers responded to a domestic disturbance. She was transported to the Pettis County jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of third-degree domestic assault and first-degree elder abuse.

8:29 p.m.: Isidro Alejo Ubaldo, 44, of the 900 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested after an officer conducted a traffic stop at a business in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a vehicle being operated by an individual known to have a revoked driving status. Ubaldo was intoxicated. Ubaldo was arrested and transported to the police department and the Pettis County Jail for driving while intoxicated - persistent offender and driving with a revoked license.

8:50 p.m.: Lindsey M. Watkins, 41, of the 32000 block of Lamine Avenue, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop at a business in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard. Watkins was found to have a suspended driver's license. Watkins was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold for driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

May 21

10:26 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the Bothwell Regional Health Center emergency room in reference to a dog bite. The victim said he was walking on the Katy Trail near South Massachusetts Avenue and was bitten by a stray dog. The dog ran off.

11:46 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 500 block of South Ohio Avenue in reference to property damage. The complaint said a highly intoxicated man started throwing items and damaging the property. The subject was identified, contacted, and was willing to pay. He was trespassed from the property and no charges were filed.

May 24

6:42 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a hit-and-run accident. The complainant said a pickup backed a trailer into the business’ property and left the scene without providing any information. The driver has not been identified.

8:18 p.m.: Officers responded to the 2400 block of West Main Street in reference to a theft report. The reporting party stated a man known to him refuses to return his vehicle. Charges have been requested for the theft of a motor vehicle.

Pettis County Sheriff's Office

Arrests

May 23

4:12 a.m.: Jordan C. Willis, of Jefferson City, and Linda L. Collins, of Sedalia, were stopped at West Ninth Street and South Harrison Avenue in a car stolen earlier in the day in Jefferson City. Willis was arrested for first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and possession of methamphetamine. Collins was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. They were transported to the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

7:30 a.m.: Keith Barnes Jr., of Sedalia, was arrested after deputies were dispatched to the 3600 block of West Main Street in Pettis County for a reported assault. The suspect was located nearby, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold for third-degree assault.

April 24

9:04 p.m.: Scott E. Smith, 50, of Knob Noster, was arrested in Johnson County for felony driving while intoxicated - habitual offender. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
