This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Nov. 15

9:05 p.m.: Marshall G. Buesing, 37, of the 1100 block of East 14th Street, was arrested after officers responded in reference to a domestic disturbance. The victim stated her husband was intoxicated, broke down the door and assaulted her. The suspect was identified, arrested, and transported to Pettis County Jail pending state charges for domestic assault, property damage, and knowingly burning or exploding.

Nov. 15

9:02 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1800 block of South Barrett Avenue for a burglary report. Over the weekend, an unknown suspect entered into an unoccupied residence and drank four 20-ounce bottles of Mountain Dew.

11:19 a.m.: An officer responded to the 300 block of West Fourth Street for a property damage report. The victim had property that was damaged and wished to pursue charges. A state charge of second-degree property damage was submitted to the Pettis County prosecutor's office.

12:52 p.m.: A juvenile runaway was located in the 1000 block of South Harrison Avenue. Upon searching the juvenile, two keys were located. The juvenile said he found the keys on the ground in the area. The keys will be temporarily held as found property.

3:33 p.m.: A victim came to the station to report that one of his weapons was missing. He stated that his AR-15 rifle was missing from the trunk of his vehicle. He last saw the rifle in October. The weapon was entered as stolen.

8:56 p.m.: Officers responded to the 400 block of West Fourth Street in reference to a missing person. The complainant stated her roommate had not returned home since Nov. 14. A missing person report was made and the subject has been entered into the system as missing.

Nov. 15

3 p.m.: Deputies took a report of harassment in the 17000 block of Fristoe Road in Sedalia.

5 p.m.: Deputies took a report of stolen wiring from a house under construction in the 10000 block of state Route B.

Arrests

Nov. 14

8:52 p.m.: Anita D. Dowdy, 53, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County for a felony warrant out of the El Paso County Sheriff's Department and for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Johnson County Jail and released.
