This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Nov. 24

12:06 a.m.: Aifan A. Raed, 51, of the 400 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Seventh Street and South Osage Avenue for driving while intoxicated-alcohol-prior offender and driving with a revoked license. An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle not properly displaying a registration plate. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated and had a revoked license. He was arrested and taken to SPD where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC above the legal limit. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.

Nov. 26

8:11 p.m.: Corey Allen Bolling, 34, of the 2100 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Sneed Avenue for driving while intoxicated-drugs. An officer stopped a vehicle for moving violations and indicators of impaired driving. The driver was found to be intoxicated by drugs, so he was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.

Nov. 27

1:32 a.m.: Michael Dale Kearney Jr., 29, of Edwards, was arrested near the intersection of East 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue for driving while intoxicated. An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop, the driver was determined to be intoxicated, and further investigation showed he had a BAC over the legal limit.

8:15 p.m.: Juan J. Mendoza, 43, of the 700 block of East 10th Street, was arrested at his residence for second-degree domestic assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the victim was located after going to a neighbor’s home to call for help. A juvenile was still in the residence with the suspect. Officers located the suspect and the juvenile and determined an assault did occur involving the adult and juvenile victims. The suspect was taken to the Pettis County Jail. 

8:25 p.m.: Kristy Marie Meyer, 42, of the 1100 block of West Seventh Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Third Street and South Limit Avenue for driving while intoxicated-drugs, failure to register with the Department of Revenue and failure to maintain financial responsibility. An officer stopped a vehicle for improper registration. An investigation determined the driver was intoxicated by drugs. Meyer was taken to the SPD, Bothwell Regional Health Center and the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.

9:56 p.m.: Jonathan Wayne Ayers, 36, of the 800 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested in the 1300 block of South Limit Avenue for driving with a suspended license. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle with a defective taillight and expired plates. A computer check showed the driver had a suspended license. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold.

Nov. 25

10 p.m.: Christopher C. Cash, 57, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested in Saline County for felony operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid driver’s license. He was taken to the Saline County Jail and released.

Nov. 27

2:38 a.m.: Robinson R. Fichtner, 55, of Centerview, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, speeding, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was taken to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

9:27 a.m.: Jonathan B. Rogers, 36, of Fortuna, was arrested in Johnson County for felon in possession of a firearm. He was taken to the Johnson County Jail and released.

3:19 p.m.: Jacob L. Fields, 30, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was taken to the Henry County Jail and released.

Nov. 28

12:01 a.m.: Wilhelmenia L. Payne, 51, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, and consumption of an alcoholic beverage while driving. She was taken to the Johnson County Jail and released.
