This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Sept. 28

6:36 p.m.: Joseph Lee Card, 40, of the 1300 block of East Boonville Street, was arrested after the Crime Resolution Unit conducted a vehicle stop in the 2800 Block of South Grand Avenue for a registration violation. A probable cause search yielded items related to drug activity. The operator was placed under arrest, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of driving with a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Incidents

Sept. 29

9:37 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 3500 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a registration issue. The driver said one of his license plates was stolen in July and he wished to report it as stolen. There are no suspects.

Sept. 30

2:18 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the Bothwell Regional Health Center emergency room, 601 E. 14th St., in reference to a dog bite. The caller said he was trying to give the dog “kisses” and it bit him. There were puncture wounds on the victim's face.

Incidents

Noon: Deputies took a report of fourth-degree assault in the 3100 block of Brooking Park Avenue. No arrests were made as the victim declined to press charges. 

1:45 p.m.: Deputies took a report of a theft that occurred in the 13000 block of Field Road in Houstonia.

Sept. 29

10:46 p.m.: Earl E. Barr, 46, of Holden, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated - aggravated offender, and driving with a revoked driver's license. He was released.
